REAL WEDDING - Jessica & Jordan at The Boathouse, Rose Bay

There are some weddings that feel effortlessly beautiful from the moment guests arrive, and Jess and Jordan’s wedding at The Boathouse Rose Bay was exactly that. With soft ocean views, elegant styling and lush romantic florals, the day was a perfect example of how thoughtful floral design can transform a space.
As a Sydney wedding florist, creating florals for venues like The Boathouse is always such a joy. The natural light, waterfront setting and relaxed luxury atmosphere make it the perfect backdrop for modern, editorial wedding flowers.
The Floral Vision
Jess wanted something timeless yet modern. The brief was romantic, elegant and slightly editorial, with soft textures and a natural colour palette of whites, creams and fresh greens.
We designed a collection of bespoke wedding flowers that felt refined but abundant, allowing the florals to elevate the space without overpowering the venue’s natural beauty.
Key floral elements included:
• A luxury bridal bouquet featuring Double Tulips
• Bridesmaid bouquets with soft, airy textures
• Elegant reception table arrangements with lush garden-style florals
• Candle clusters and layered styling to create a warm, intimate atmosphere
The Ceremony
Set within the beautiful surrounds of St Mark’s Church in Darling Point, the ceremony space felt timeless, romantic and quietly grand. The historic architecture and soft natural light created the perfect backdrop for Jess and Jordan’s vows. We designed a delicate floral installation with layered blooms and natural foliage that framed the altar beautifully, adding softness while complementing the elegance of the church.
One of our favourite moments was watching the doors open and seeing the floral design come to life as Jess walked down the aisle with her bouquet in hand. These are the moments we design for, when flowers become part of the atmosphere, the emotion and the memories of the day.
The Reception
Inside the reception space, we continued the floral story with elegant table arrangements and candlelight, creating a warm and luxurious setting for guests to celebrate.
The combination of soft florals, textured linens and glowing candles created a beautiful balance between modern and romantic — a signature look that Ivy Rae is known for.
A Day to Remember
Jess and Jordan’s wedding was the perfect reflection of what we love about designing wedding flowers — creating an experience that feels personal, thoughtful and unforgettable.
From the ceremony installation to the reception florals, every element worked together to transform the space and create a truly beautiful celebration.
