Alana here, the founder and creative behind Ivy Rae. I started my boutique wedding floral studio in 2019, named after my very loved Great Dane, and built it from a genuine love of romance, storytelling, and beautifully considered design. With over 10 years of experience as a florist, I still feel just as excited creating wedding flowers as I did at the very beginning.
I’ve been part of more than 1,000 weddings across Australia, personally attended 25 weddings, stood in six bridal parties, and was married in 2021. This means I understand weddings not just as a florist, but from every angle, and truly appreciate the emotion and meaning behind the day.
I’m completely hands-on and work closely with my couples from the initial quote through to installing your flowers on the day. Ivy Rae intentionally takes on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give each celebration the care and attention it deserves, supported by a trusted team I’ve carefully chosen to work alongside me.
My work has been recognised through multiple floral art awards and featured in publications including Vogue, The Wed, and Theodore. I also offer behind-the-scenes content creation through Captured by Ivy Rae, capturing the beauty and emotion of the day as it naturally unfolds.
I’m based in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney, and work across Australia and internationally. I also teach floristry casually at TAFE, which keeps me connected to my craft while allowing me to focus fully on my wedding clients.
At the heart of Ivy Rae is a genuine love for what I do. While this is a business, it’s one built from passion, and that care, excitement, and attention flows into every wedding I’m lucky enough to be part of.
I can’t wait to create something truly special for you.
Alana x
